SUPPORTING WOMEN THROUGH PERINATAL ANXIETY, LOW MOOD AND POSTNATAL RECOVERY.
Becoming a mother brings immense physical, hormonal and metabolic changes. When persistent anxiety, low mood or exhaustion set in during or after pregnancy, it’s easy to assume you simply “aren’t coping.”
In reality, your body has gone through an extraordinary biological journey. Nutrient depletion, blood sugar fluctuations and hormonal shifts can directly impact your brain chemistry and nervous system. While medical guidance from your GP and psychological support are vital steps, addressing your nutritional needs can help restore essential, physical foundations your body needs to recover.
So much of early motherhood is focused on caring for your baby, but who’s looking after you? Your physical recovery and mental wellbeing deserve attention, understanding and care too.
Motherhood doesn’t always look or feel the way we imagined. Anxiety, low mood and emotional struggles can be difficult to talk about, particularly when there’s an expectation to feel happy and grateful.
My aim is to create a space where mothers feel heard, understood and comfortable talking openly about how they’re really feeling, without guilt, shame or judgement.
